Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to IBM, wins contract to support implementation and maintenance of IBM’s VA HR LOB

January 2013: Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to IBM, was recently awarded a contract to support implementation and maintenance of IBM’s Human Resources Line of Business for the Veterans Administration. 

The VA’s HR requirements have changed dramatically compared with the decades past, and as these services will continue to evolve, the VA HR workforce, and the systems they use, must continuously and flexibly adapt to meet the needs those changes drive. This will ultimately allow VA to reach its vision to:

• Provide more strategic planning and advice for managers and employees as they continually improve the services for Veterans
• Deliver transactional services efficiently and accurately, by automating more HR transactions and by shifting transactions to self-service
• Standardize diverse operations that are geographically dispersed
• Increase HR capacity, currently supporting a population of 300,000+ employees, to successfully support the thousands of new VA professionals that are expected to be hired in the future
• Operate efficiently to reduce HR costs and free up budget for other priorities while delivering a higher standard of human resource services 

IBM’s proven VA HR LOB technical solution is built on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technological capability (including Oracle PeopleSoft, Monster Entry on Duty (EOD), and IBM Rational, InfoSphere, and Tivoli). The solution includes connectors and expansion points to support future growth and the addition of future functionality like workforce analytics (example, bringing the power of VA Program Integrity Tools to the HR community). 

Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to SAIC, wins contract to support PBGC’s Infrastructure Operations Support Services

January 2013:  Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to SAIC, was recently awarded a contract and task order to support PBGC infrastructure operations.

The PBGC IT Infrastructure Operations Support Services (ITIOSS) contract encompasses a wide range of IT professional services including workstation hardware and software; the LAN/WAN file, print, email, and other office applications, server hardware and software, network hardware and software, and database services and servers; middle tier services and servers; storage solutions; and related computing platforms. Also included are mobile computing requirements and the necessary remote access solutions. End-user training and technology research and assistance services are additional services provisioned. The underlying Infrastructure to support PBGC consists of the backend Data Center and Network Infrastructure requirements along with the associated security, disaster recovery, and necessary process and program management to maintain and oversee on-going IT Infrastructure operations. 

Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor, wins DoED contract to provide Contract Lifecycle Management solution

Department of Education

September, 2012: Macro Solutions was awarded a contract to support the Department of Education’s CPSS Integration Solution (CPSS II) initiative as a subcontractor to CACI.  This Oracle-based Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution is for a new contracting and procurement support system, as well as the integration services necessary to implement the system. 

The CLM solution will further automate the Department's contracting processes, provide monitoring and metrics reports, and serve as the central electronic repository for all contracting documents and data in an effort to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate redundant and paper-based processes.

Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to TCG, wins CIO-SP3 Small Business Contract

July, 2012: Macro Solutions, as a subcontractor to TCG, was awarded the Chief Information Officers-Solutions and Partners 3 – Small Business) CIO-SP3-SB contract. CIO-SP3 is a 10-year, multiple award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) Government wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle with a ceiling of $20 billion. It is designed to permit the Institutes and Centers (ICs) of NIH, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and all other federal agencies to acquire a wide range of IT services and solutions.

Uses of the CIO-SP3 contract include, but are not limited to, data center consolidation, cloud computing, health IT, mobility and cyber security. While issued by NIH, the contract goes beyond health IT solutions to be applicable to all federal government agencies. The contract not only contains biomed, health sciences, and healthcare related IT services, but also general IT services, partly because healthcare systems are increasingly integrated within a broader IT architecture.

GSA Awards Macro Solutions the Financial and Business Solutions (FABS) Schedule 520

October, 2012: Macro Solutions was awarded the General Services Administration (GSA) Financial and Business Solutions (FABS) Schedule 520.  The Contract Period is from October 18, 2012 to October 17, 2017.  This Multiple Award Schedule allows for choice, flexibility, ease-of-use, and access to quality firms in the financial arena, ranging from small business to industry leaders.

FABS can help federal agencies obtain quality financial services and better results with fewer resources. GSA's FABS Schedule 520 provides solutions to any financial dilemmas through a wide range of auditing, financial management, financial asset, business information and credit monitoring services. September, 2012: Macro Solutions was awarded a BPA contract to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) contract as a subcontractor to Grant Thornton.  This contract focuses on the Accounting, Program Management, Budgeting and Forecast requirements.

Macro Solutions wins PeopleSoft IDIQ at House of Representatives

December, 2011:  Macro Solutions was awarded a contract by the House of Representatives, as Prime contractor, to provide integration, customization, development, General Ledger functional support, ECM development, performance testing and application tuning for the PeopleSoft Financials Solution.   

This includes design, development, documentation, and testing of conversion programs to support the transfer of data from the House's legacy applications and modules; design, development, documentation, and testing of online batch customizations to the House's PeopleSoft Financials applications and modules; design, development, documentation, and testing of custom report solutions using tools including nVision, SQR, Crystal Reports, and PS Query to the House's PeopleSoft Financials applications and modules; and design, development, documentation, and testing of custom PeopleSoft pages and supporting code to meet House requirements.

Macro Solutions wins DOD contract to provide ERP and IT support

December, 2011: Macro Solutions was awarded a contract to support DOD with a PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 implementation as a subcontractor.  Macro Solutions is providing technical and functional PeopleSoft expertise and leadership in support of the enterprise implementation. In addition, Macro Solutions is also providing critical Java development resources.
