Macro Solutions Leads Panel Discussion on Agile at AGA Financial System Summit

The Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Financial Systems Summit was held on March 28th at the Washington Convention Center where  Macro Solutions led a panel discussion entitled, “Enterprise Scale Agile in Federal Agencies”.  The focus of the panel was on operational efficiency and how Agile can extend beyond application development teams to improve operations. We addressed how agencies are incorporating Agile and the lessons learned around change management, automation tools and techniques, acquisitions and in pivoting from ‘project’ management to ‘product’ management.

There were well over a thousand attendees and Todd Hager, Vice President of Macro Solutions led the panel.  Our distinguished panelists included:

  • Jenn Beddor, Senior General Engineer of the U.S. Government Accountability Office,
  • Florence Kasule, Digital Services Procurement Expert of the US Digital Service, and
  • Laird Williams, DevOps Program Manager of Macro Solutions.

In addition to our Agile panel discussion, Macro Solutions had an exhibit booth where we talked about applying Intelligent Automation, (think “bots”) to routine financial systems tasks to improve efficiency and quality while freeing up the people to do more important things, all as an extension of the ERP-based financial management system.
