Macro Solutions’ VP Todd Hager Named Winner of ACT-IAC Education Award
WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 15, 2018 – Macro Solutions, an established leader in the delivery of strategic IT and management consulting, today announced that Todd Hager, Vice President Strategy, Innovation & Quality, has been selected as the industry winner of the 2018 ACT-IAC Education Award.
The ACT-IAC awards honor extraordinary individuals who have made significant contributions to improving government and to government-industry collaboration. The ACT-IAC Education Award — conferred in the spirit of Virginia “Ginny” McCormick — recognizes an individual or team from government or industry who has made significant contributions in educating, sharing knowledge, and bringing awareness towards a more effective and efficient government. Hager was honored for his role as an active proponent of collaborative industry and government education through ACT-IAC activities and has devoted countless hours to supporting ACT-IAC in his role as the industry chair for the Emerging Technologies COI.
As a direct result of Hager’s efforts, the Emerging Technologies COI is among the most vibrant and active interest groups within ACT-IAC. In his role, he has been instrumental in driving ACT-IAC’s continued work in the area of Blockchain and was responsible for formalizing the Blockchain Working Group in mid-2017.
Additionally, under Hager’s leadership, the Emerging Technologies COI has played an important role in advancing DevOps in government. He was the force behind assembling an active DevOps working group under the auspices of the Emerging Technologies COI. As a part of this effort, Hager spearheaded an Emerging Technologies event at the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to educate acquisition and procurement officials within the Department about DevOps, Blockchain and other topics.
